The flower of the day: the poetry of Hydrangeas

fiore del giorno: ortensia

From June to September the slopes overlooking the lake are tinged pink, of blue hydrangeas and deep green.

A plant that even its name boasts romantic connotations, The Hydragea in fact takes its name from the naturalist Philibert Commerson common hydrangea, who chose the name, inspired by his love Hortense Lapeaute.

Bellagio is rich in this plant and its flowers and after the summer as the color spots of Hydrangeas turn, and fade, the colors turn into pastel shades giving a melancholic charm.

Reaching the principal viewpoints of Bellagio and the romantic Hydrangeas guide your eyes down right towards the lake.
